Thriller

So, for the 4th year in a row, Blonde Grizzly is putting on a Monster Show. This year it's at Urban Vintage. It's a fun, I mean horrifying, group show where people submit art of their favorite monsters. This year I thought I'd submit something in honor of one of the best videos ever - Michael Jackson's Thriller. Does anyone remember seeing this on MTV for the first time. Does anyone remember having it blow your mind? I've been watching it over and over and over again to figure out shapes for my papercut and I have yet to get tired of it. So, anyway, I've been putting up teasers of this this past week on my Instagram and Tumblr and here is the final piece:

I am kind of in love with all the zombies. And the type. And the 50s Michael Jackson and Ola Ray. It was a fun piece to work on. Zombies are kind of forgiving to draw.

I put some stuff up on Society6, so if you feel inclined to order a print for your very own Halloween decor - please do so! There's also those cute phone covers and totes and t-shirts and pillows that they offer.
