Junebug Adoration

I've been wanting to try my hand at another 3D papercut and couldn't think of a subject. I finally settled on a scene from Thumbelina. This is where a June Bug scoops her up and takes her high into the trees. There he just sits and stares at her and thinks she is so beautiful. All the other June Bugs think she's a troll and make fun of him for adoring her. He eventually falls sway to their peer pressure and releases her from his grasp.

Template Tuesday - Beetle Birthday

This one is for my friend Kim. It's her birthday today. She's an entomologist and so, while probably overused and she's probably tired of getting bug things, the theme still works. Here is one dung beetle giving another dung beetle a birthday present.

Happy Birthday, Kim!

Here's what the template will look like. Remember, do not cut on the parts that fold.

He Was Demanding More and More Sacrifices

The poor mini people of the village were always getting terrorized by this bird until they started offering up sacrifices to him. It's a good thing that there are always plenty of bugs around!

Size: 5" x 7"

This one is still up and showing at the Terra Nova Gallery!
