Provo Rocks Topless

A few years ago, I went to a private college in a city in Utah called Provo. When I lived there, we would complain about how there was no art scene or community culture and how everything was just poop. I wish I were going to school there now because it's fun to venture down south and see what's happening on the first Friday of every month. They have a great Gallery Stroll and it's really quite the pretty little place. One of my friends, Raquel, is in charge of a lot of what goes on down there and she asked me to do a papercut for their next brochure featuring buildings from the historic downtown Provo area. It's taken me forever to complete, but I've finally finished it!

Beautiful design, Cindy. I wish I had your patience. I'm more slapdash about my snipping.

Okay Cindy, I feel pretty dumb...but I don't quite get the title of this post. Can you enlighten me? Am I just too old to get it???

Congrats on the Provo brochure design! Have you been by Terra Nova Gallery in Provo yet? They would be a great place for you to have a show. Tell them Groark sent you! ;o) Randel

snippety gibbet, sometimes I draw things out weeks in advance and they just sit there and then I eventually cut them out, so it requires less patience.

7gerbers, it's from an old t-shirt that some boys I used to have a crush on made many, many years ago.

Randel, thanks! I haven't been by there yet. I need to go by. Good to hear from you!

oh, it is perfect! of course. so just yesterday jeff thomas was telling me that one of those places downtown used to have some topless entertainment. which was fascinating to me. was that what your t-shirt was about? can't wait to attend the artwalk with your brochure in hand. i love you.

Yeah Michelle! I love you too! It wasn't even my t-shirt. It was the t-shirt of boys I had crushes on and I never even saw it, only Marsha saw it, so it really isn't even my story. LaMar's was the topless place. I lived across from it in the Bird Palace when it was still the Bird Palace.

I love your work! I run a site you might be interisted in being a part of at http://www.thepearproject.com If you check out the "About Us" section of the site you can see how to apply. I've been searching for a good paper cutter to add to my team for awhile.
