Make sure it's a really fine one. My blades break instantly too, and I sharpen them and use them for less-detailed work. I used a pair from my daughter&...Surgical scissors. I used a pair from my daughter's stitch kit. I saw them about to toss them at the ER and asked for them. I used those for 12 years! I now use a blade as well. I learned with a blade and I have the rare advantage of having worked at a sign company handcutting vinyl for specialty signs and my father works there as well and gets me boxes of blades made by precision blade company.
